Hey. I get what you’re trying to say, but it’s not about how i’m strong enough to skip meals and resist food temptation. I have an eating disorder. Anorexia Nervosa to be exact. It’s different how people like me deal with food. My relationship with food is actually fucked up. Please, don’t try to be like me. It’s not just about trying to be thin, it’s an illness.
But don’t worry, i could help you by giving some tips on a healthy diet. First of all, don’t skip meal. Of course you’re gonna shed few pounds when you starve. But then after a while, if you start eating normally again, you’ll actually gain weight. This is because you’ll tend to crave for food and binge when you start eating.
Secondly, it’s normal how people can’t stop themselves from eating too much. Here’s a tips, drink two glasses of plain water and eat a type of fruit before you start eating. You’ll eat less because you”re already full.
Next, this is my usual tips. Do some exercise everyday. Running is the best way if you’re aiming to burn calories but if you’re on a busy day, go for a brisk walk for 15 minutes. It can actually burn some calories.
Another one, consume less carbohydrate and more protein. To motivate yourself, write on a piece of paper of the reasons on why do you want to lose weight. Read it every time you feel like eating any fattening food or when you’re so lazy to do any workout. So yeah, those are some tips that might be useful for you.
But no, don’t starve, please. You’re not gonna lose weight if you starve. This is because your metabolism will slow down and your body will burn less calories. You’ll also get easily tired. I’ve been there before. I feel you. Sometimes we lose control that we’d do anything to be skinny.
Just hit my ask box if you have any other questions. Good luck xx
I seriously need help. My metabolism is extremely fucked up. I consume 800 calories in a day and i can still gain weight. Should I low my intake by 500? or something like that ? I been living with 800 calories for the past 2-3 weeks or so and i haven't seen changes. What should i do, i am freaking out !

Hey anon, i’ve been in this situation before this. I feel you. The reason on why you can’t seem to lose anymore is maybe because..
1) Your metabolism is slowing down. It’s because your body tends to burn less calories due to your low calories intake. When this happens, you can’t lose anymore. Not to mention you might gain some weight if you consume more calories than you are now.
2) You’ve hit your plateau. When someone has reached his/her plateau, it will be a bit hard to break it. If you want to break it, you might have to do something with you diet.
Throughout your diet, always remember to consume more than 1200 calories a day. At the same time, consume less calories than the daily calories that you burn. Consume food that could help you to boost up your metabolism. Some of the food are..
- Green Tea
- Apples
- Water
- Pears
- Grapefruit
Do some exercise everyday. For me, the best way to burn calories is by running. If you could, go to the nearest gym and go on the treadmill. By that, you could know how much calories you’ve burn. If you’re on a busy day, go for a brisk walk for 15 minutes. That’s the simplest exercise, yet it also helps you to burn calories.
If you are already on a low calorie diet and you are sticking to it, then it is not recommended that you cut out any more calories. Increasing your activity is really the key to breaking out of a plateau. Lastly, if you are eating three square meals a day, start adding snacks in between (which may mean reducing the portion size of the main meals). Eating often is an old and common style of eating. But once again, you are trying to boost up your metabolism.
You could lose weight sweetie, but not by this way. If you haven’t got any eating disorder, it’s vital for you to prevent it before it gets to you and takes over your life. Do a healthy diet instead. I’ve given you some tips on how to boost up your metabolism and break your plateau. Good luck okay xx
I just want you to know you deserve the best & you're beautiful

Oh god, how i wish i could believe that. Sorry, my self esteem is so fucked up right now that i couldn’t accept any compliment anymore. Thank you anyway xx
how did you lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks?

Anonymous
Actually, the two weeks that i lose 5 pounds was the beginning of my eating disorder. Even though i did lost 5 pounds in just two weeks, it’s really unhealthy to lose so much weight in such a short time. In my case, it’s different.
You could lose 5 pounds in a healthy way instead. Experts recommend weight loss at the rate of 0.5-2 lbs per week. Don’t worry, there are some simple ways to lose weight in a healthy way. First, cut down your daily calories intake so that the total is less than the daily calories you burn. Consume less carbohydrate and more protein. Do some exercise everyday. It doesn’t have to be really hard, even 15 minutes of brisk walk is okay. Avoid from eating fast food. If you really crave for it, you may eat it once in a week. Lastly, make sure you consume more than 1200 calories a day. If you consume less than that in a day, your stomach will go on a ‘starvation mode’.
That’s about it. I got so many more tips, but i don’t want this answer to get extremely long. I know i’m not really answering to your questions, but i don’t promote eating disorder. Trust me, it’s not that easy to live with an ED.
How do you hide it from your parents ? :/

Anonymous
You mean my eating disorder? Actually, i don’t hide it from them nor tell them about it. The only thing i told them was i’m on a diet (a normal one). It’s because i don’t want them to get suspicious on me upon my eating rituals, frequent exercise, etc.
But sometimes, to make them think that i’m still a food lover, i tell them how delicious the dinner was or how much i crave certain food like cake or muffin. It actually works. They still think my relationship with food is okay (even though it’s not).
I also always keep myself busy with food, but not really eat it. I prepare food for my sisters. I go to supermarket and buy food, then i give it to someone else. I cook for my family. I bring some food to school and give it to my friend.
I’m not trying to give you tips on how to hide your eating disorder from your parents. I just write everything that i could relate with my life and experience. If you really suffer from ED, do seek help. That’s the best option.
we have similar stats and i really like your blog! mind checking out mine?
what is your current weight now?

I don’t have any idea. The last time i weigh myself was this morning (on about 6am). I’ve lost 0.5 kilo. That means i’ve break my plateau! Despite all the pain i’ve been through ever since Anorexia got on me, finally i can be happy. But the happiness is just temporary. A girl like me don’t really deserve to be happy because i binged on lunch and dinner. Hm.
So, the answer to your question is 49.5kg or maybe 50 kg.
I go to the gym when i can and have simple rules, but im so very lazy and forgetful when with people! One thing i have noticed though, my stomach is getting smaller, because i've started starving! Every few days, i will eat next to nothing. It hurts, but then by nighttime, i'm so used to the pain it just seems like its saying 'well done, you are on you're way' But i few diet rules and healthy tips would be great, and if that acid is true, don't apples have it in them as well?
Trust me, if your will to lose weight is strong enough, there won’t be any words such as ‘lazy’ or ‘forgetful’ in your diet. But if you’re too lazy to hit the gym or to keep up with your rules, just do the simplest workout you could do. Brisk walk for 30 minutes would do the trick. To motivate yourself, write on a piece of paper of the reasons on why do you want to lose weight. Read it every time you feel like eating any fattening food or when you’re so lazy to do any workout.
But no, don’t starve, please. You’re not gonna lose weight if you starve. This is because your metabolism will be low and your body will burn less calories. You’ll also get easily tired. I’ve been there before. I feel you. Sometimes we lose control that we’d do anything to be skinny.
Apples do have acid too, but its acid level isn’t as high as oranges. If you eat oranges without eating any other food, you’ll likely to have gastric. I’d suggest you to eat apples rather than oranges.
how much do usually lose in a week?
Honestly, i don’t know. Sometimes i could lose 2 kilos in a week and sometimes i couldn’t even lose a kilo in a week.
Do you know the consequences to having an eating disorder? You think you can hide it but you can't. Soon enough your hair will start falling out, your bones will become brittle, and you'll get tired faster than you can imagine. Even if you stop eating your body is storing fat because your starving yourself. I know its not my place to say this, but please get help, you're too young to die. Because if you continue doing this to yourself you will.
I get what you’re trying to say, thank you for your concern. Just so you know, this ain’t my choice. It just happened subconsciously in my mind. It’s a mental illness. It’s not just about ‘trying to lose weight’ or ‘looking skinny’. This illness has messed up my self-esteem and confidence. To be honest, i don’t want this eating disorder anymore. It takes over my life.
But seeing my BMI that is ‘normal’, i don’t think i deserve some help. Don’t worry, i’ll seek help when i’m skinny enough to deserve it. Or else, people would assume i’m just another fat girl who’s seeking for some attention.
